Looking for fresh meat and locally-grown vegetables?

It’s all in Piedmont Park.

Green Market returns to the urban park for its 13th season on March 19. The grand opening will feature live entertainment with Ross Pead.

The market opens every Saturday at the 12th Street gate area off of Piedmont Drive inside the park. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through December 10.

The proceeds support the Piedmont Park Conservancy and farmers in or near Atlanta. Farmers generally travel less than 100 miles to the market.

New farmers include Lucky Leaf Farm, Farm Fresh as wells as a cooperative farm stand featuring Scharko Farms and Friends, Corn Creek Growers and Decimal Place Farm Fresh Goat Cheese.

Chef demos and live entertainment are scheduled throughout the market’s run. The market is rain or shine . On rainy days, the market may move inside the Piedmont Park community Center, 1071 Piedmont Ave.
