Do you think the Georgia Aquarium is the best of its kind in North America? Well, let your voice be heard.

The aquarium, which is now open to the public after shuttering amid the coronavirus outbreak, is among the finalists in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.

“Aquariums put us face to fin with aquatic life from the world's oceans, lakes and waterways in a fun and educational setting,” according to the contest page. “The best aquariums also play a vital role in animal conservation by taking part in rescue efforts and advocating for the environmental health of our oceans.”

Between now and noon on July 6, you can vote here in the contest once per day. The winners will be announced on Friday, July 17.

Some nearby aquariums are also finalists, including the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg. You can see a full list of the finalists here.

The Georgia Aquarium, which opened at 225 Baker Street NW in 2005, is the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. During its first year alone, more than 3.6 million guests visited the aquarium, according to its website. Earlier this year, it was named the best kid-friendly tourist attraction in Georgia.
