Whiskeys of the Southeast, a Southern Bourbon & BBQ Challenge will give you the chance to sample more than 20 kinds of Southern spirits while enjoying a variety of barbecue styles — from Alabama white sauce or South Carolina mustard sauce — with classic sides.

Georgia is home to numerous distilleries that make their own bourbons, whiskeys, moonshines and more. These six are known for their bourbon.

City Winery, which is in Ponce City Market, isn’t limiting your taste buds to just home state spirits, though. You’ll also be able to sample the best of Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina and Texas.

Atlanta's barbecue scene has a loyal following, based on last year's Best of Atlanta voting. Hattie Marie's Texas Style BBQ and Cajun Kitchen claimed the title of best barbecue last year.
