Stuck inside during wintry Atlanta weather? Don't fret.

There’s a number of ways to feed your appetite for some of Atlanta’s best restaurants without leaving home. Enter the nifty technology of food apps.

Whether it's vegan fare, gluten-free grub or an upscale burger with truffle fries, Atlanta residents don't have to sacrifice selection when it comes to curbing their appetite without leaving the couch.

Restaurants all over the city and beyond work with third-party delivery services to offer their meals on the go. In nasty weather, food delivery can vary based on the individual restaurants’ decisions for its employees, said Katie Norris, spokeswoman for GrubHub.

“While the Southeast is being impacted by severe weather, Grubhub will be in close communication with restaurants in the affected areas,” she said. “Restaurants will continue delivering food upon their discretion and some may amend their hours to ensure the safety of their employees.”

The Chicago-based mobile-food ordering company partners with more than 44, 000 restaurants in the country, so it would be difficult to broadly stop delivery based on weather conditions, Norris said. GrubHub has not received word of Atlanta partner restaurants suspending service this weekend, she said.

“We hope diners will be patient if their orders take longer than normal to arrive, given the possibility of street closures impacting the route taken by their delivery person,” Norris said. “We encourage diners to be generous and appreciative when tipping and readily available in case delivery partners have questions.”

Check out these food delivery apps and sites to see which metro Atlanta restaurants are still delivering in wintry weather:

Grubhub

Founded in 2004 by two web developers sick of digging through takeout menus, Grubhub is one of the original food delivery services, partnering with more than 44,000 restaurants worldwide. In Atlanta, stay low-cal with deliveries from juice bars like Ju Tox Juice Bar and Wellness Center (22 Bennett St. NW, Atlanta. 855-588-6963. jutox.com) or get fresh southern fare from local favorite Bantam + Biddy (Various locations. bantamandbiddy.com) at locations in Midtown, Buckhead and Alpharetta. For this easy-to-use app and website, the delivery fee varies from restaurant to restaurant, with some locations imposing a minimum spend in order to get the goods delivered — a great excuse to order that extra app.

UberEATS

It seems like every new app dubs itself "the Uber of" its industry, but this on-demand service really is Uber's answer to food delivery. The app makes things easy for both the picky eater and the customer who's gotta chow down ASAP. The app's Instant Delivery menu is a curated selection of local menu items that are prepared in advance and available to be delivered within 10 minutes, making this app the best choice for eaters with a growling stomach. The selection grows more extensive the more time you're willing to wait, with many options in neighborhoods all over Atlanta. Delivery fees are $4.99 for regular deliveries and $2.99 for instant, but with no tipping obligation, UberEATS may make more financial sense than you think.

Zifty

Zifty is one of Atlanta's longest-running delivery services, and while its roster of restaurants is similar to that of its competitors, one great functionality is the ability to add menu items from more than one restaurant for a fee that's less than the regular delivery fee of $4.99. When no one can agree on what to order, grab grub from Yeah! Burger (Various locations. yeahburger.com) alongside a monster steak from Highland Tap (1026 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta. 404-875-3673. nightcapfoodandspirits.com) — just be prepared to shell out the $4.99 delivery fee plus an additional $3 for the added restaurant.

Postmates
Have you ever had a moment where you just couldn't survive another minute without Chipotle? Maybe you're hungover or you're in the middle of an exhausting and hunger-inducing project. Whatever the circumstance, you would do almost anything to have someone bring a burrito straight to your door. Well, Postmates is betting on it. While it's been the subject of humor and criticism in the media, those willing to pay a scaled delivery fee of at least $5 and an additional fee of 9 percent of their total restaurant bill, Postmates will deliver from a huge number of restaurants to almost anywhere in the metro Atlanta area. Is upwards of $20 worth it for a burrito? No comment, but we won't judge you.

Caviar
Branding itself as the upscale option for those looking to dine at home, Caviar easily offers the best selection of delivery options from Atlanta's buzziest restaurants. Okra fries from Chai Pani or a top-notch dinner from Empire State South take on a new luxury when they're enjoyed on the couch in front of a Netflix marathon. Unfortunately, the delivery fee is about as high-dollar as the experience of digging in to a gourmet meal: at $10 for each delivery, eaters need to order a high-dollar haul to make the fee worth the money.
