Ranking: Two of the best taco joints in the country are right here in Georgia
Even if it’s not Tuesday, tacos in every form − soft or hard, carnitas or chicken − just tend to make any day better.
Two Georgia taco spots, Flacos Tacos in Pooler and Taco Del Chavo in Kennesaw, are making magic happen in tortillas every day of the week, according to a new ranking compiled by Yelp and Business Insider.
Flaco's Tacos ranked No. 5, while Taco Del Chavo took the No. 36 spot on BI's "The 50 best taco joints in America, ranked" list.
Yelp and BI editors scoured reviews on restaurants, taco stands and food trucks to determine which Mexican restaurants deserved a place on the coveted list.
For Taco Del Chavo, located at 2176 Cobb Pkwy NW, the bees knee’s is its corn tortillas and steak burritos.
One reviewer wrote:
"The corn tortillas are made by hand on site and are going to ruin you for any other corn tortillas, they are that much better."
Flaco’s Tacos, which also has a location in Chicago, has mastered salsa flavor and affordability, according to Yelp users, with a reviewer writing “For being in the tourist trap area it was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this as a vacation stop.”
