Korean bakeries, which borrow from their European counterparts, are becoming popular in Atlanta.

Helen Lee, owner, is proud of the wide array of artisan breads and rolls baked fresh daily at the Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe at 1291 Old Peachtree Road in the Assi Plaza shopping center in Suwanee. The family business opened in May 2007 to join a number of other Korean bakeries in Gwinnett. They bake 150 kinds of breads, pastries and other bakery items fresh daily with a kitchen staff of seven.
