The Golden Bear doesn’t have many weaknesses, as his wins in 18 major golf tournaments attest.
But Jack Nicklaus admits to one: ice cream.
Next month, the golf legend is coming out with a seven-flavor line of ice creams in partnership with Minneapolis-based Schwan’s frozen foods.
In addition to coffee and donuts, the premium ice cream will be available in warm spiced butter pecan, chocolate peanut butter swirl, salted caramel toffee, strawberry lemonade, triple chocolate and homemade vanilla.
“I have never had so much fun in the research and development of a product,” said Nicklaus in a statement announcing his latest enterprise.
Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream will be available for about $2 a pint at Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo and Kroger stores in select markets.
Schwan has joined with the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation to support pediatric healthcare.
