What's better than a Southern comfort food delight coming to the heart of Sandy Springs?
Said Southern food delight, Tupelo Honey Café, inviting a select few guests to taste their signature fried chicken before the restaurant officially opens.
The Asheville-based café will open its first Georgia location in Sandy Springs' Gateway development this summer, according to the company's website. The location is known for its crispy, pickled delight 'Fit to Be Tied' Pickled and Fried and famous buttermilk fried chicken.
To whet the palates of locals anticipating the opening, Tupelo Honey Café is opening its doors June 7 to those that sign up for its "The Great Fried Chicken Taste Test," according to a newsletter sent out to the restaurant's email subscribers.
"We need your help to make sure our fried chicken is perfect before we open! The first 24 people to sign up via the reservation link below will be invited to come to the restaurant at their allotted time on Tuesday, June 7th for 30 minutes to taste our Famous Fried Chicken and answer a few questions," a note on the company website read.
The Sandy Springs location is the newest of the restaurant chain's already 12 locations in North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia. Restaurant officials have not given an exact date for the summer opening of the Sandy Springs' location.

If you happen to miss the fried chicken tasting, the restaurant is also offering a chance to win two tickets to a VIP pre-opening dinner on June 12, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.
