Yes, there’s a cocktail for everything.

One day especially deserving of a cocktail is April 16 — the day after you almost didn’t meet the big deadline for Tax Day. In honor of surviving another round of filing those taxes, New York City bartender Xavier Herit created this tequila drink using Tequila Don Julio 1942, aged for two-and-a-half-years (the amount of time it felt like you worked on your taxes) and full of roasted agave and vanilla notes.

High Roller's Refund

Cinnamon powder and salt

In a mixing glass, combine Tequila Don Julio 1942, verjus, smoked grapefruit cordial and grenadine syrup with one large ice cube. Stir.

Strain contents into a coupe glass rimmed with cinnamon powder mixed with salt.
