Mountain cane-grinding, 1938 style. Blairsville, Ga. Patient old Beck, who switched her tail, bobbed her head and plodded around and around the cane grinder, has given away to this hybrid mechanism as syrup-making time comes to the north Georgia hills. Dockery Gap, three miles south of Woody's Gap, presents a spectacular panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountain ranges. This spot is about twelve miles northeast of Dahlonega, Ga., and ninety miles north of Atlanta.

March 21, 1989 - Jim Sullivan, who is a member of Forest Watch, looks over Woodall Shoals which is part the Chattooga Wild and Scenic River. Rabun County is considering a site less than a quarter mile from the river boundry for an airport. This is a much opposed site and is only one of four possibilities.
