STANDOUT FASHION MOMENT: "Every time a client, co-worker or friend 'gets' that the day's shirt-and-tie combination was not at all random. Few folks are clued in to the fact that I'm colorblind --- a fate easily overcome by a closet labeling system that's invisible to most."

Scarborough is wearing "a rarefied mix of the classic and casual; an Italian-made classic tuxedo updated with lime-green bow tie and matching formal scarf."

ATLANTA STYLE IS ... : "Really coming into its own as far as menswear is concerned. Some, make that most, people here would argue that ground zero for the oversize-T-shirt market is Atlanta. Others, however, would hype Atlanta's emergence as the home of the tailored men's dress shirt. None here seem to agree on the shirt tucked in vs. out rule, though."

"I seldom, if ever, splurge. Fashion is not food, and I'd consider myself frivolous if I ever let my wants get ahead of my needs. Early on, my mother taught a brother how to shop for value, not trend, so what most would consider a splurge purchase is actually something that was copped on sale at the end of the season."
