Adams said she saw some interesting things on the job. "I was chief nurse anesthetist at Crawford Long [Hospital] until I got married. ... I put a lot of celebrities to sleep and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I was young enough to practice today. Maybe someday, I will write a book about families in Atlanta and their secrets."

WHAT SHE'S WEARING: A Toschi brown leather jacket from York Furs and a black hat from Neiman Marcus.

BEST FIND: "A gorgeous red leather jacket with fringe."

BIGGEST SPLURGE: "One time at Neiman Marcus, a charming man waited on me showing me several pairs of boots. I simply could not find anything to my liking, until he brought me a pair of the most beautiful, elegant black leather boots I had ever seen. I am not going to tell you how much I paid, other than the price was between $1,000 and $2,000. But I will tell you, those boots were worth every penny." These embellished leather boots purchased from a Western catalog.

STANDOUT FASHION MOMENT: "Recently I received an invitation to a party addressed to "Princess Eula Adams." I decided to pull out my beautiful lace wedding dress. It fit perfect after all these years. I really felt like a princess. I so much enjoyed wearing that dress. I'm hoping for another gala affair soon." Here, Adams shows off her holiday cardigan from Steinmart, leather skirt from Bonny White's and her recently purchased studded Prada boots.

A WEAKNESS: "Hats. All kinds. I enjoy fun hats as well as elegant hats and everything in between."

A FASHION PET PEEVE: "Seeing someone wear a beautiful hat incorrectly. I just want to go over, reach up and adjust it."

ATLANTA STYLE IS ... : "Everything from A to Z." Here, Adams models a white leather jacket from Hortsetown in Marietta, a hat from Lord & Taylor and her pearl necklace passed down to her from her mother.

FAVORITE STORES: Stein Mart, Neiman Marcus (and "I truly miss Rich's.") FAVORITE LABELS: "I buy what I like, not the label."
