The free event description urges guests to visit as the location is transformed into “a foodie's paradise.” Specialty dishes from popular food trucks in the area are on tap and guests can “sample our chef's own take on various street foods from around the world.”

While the event is located in Suwanee, organizers are calling on residents from neighboring cities including Sugar Hill and Duluth to attend. Guests can RSVP by calling (470) 361-2638 by March 5 or simply arrive that Saturday.

Proceeds for the child-friendly festival benefit the Gwinnett Senior Golden Games, an annual athletic competition started by Bob and Eileen Giselbach in 2000. Initially named the Gwinnett Senior Olympics, it was changed to Gwinnett Senior Golden Games so as to avoid conflict with the Georgia State Olympics, which began in 1989.

The Gwinnett Senior Golden Games' mission is to "create an awareness of the abilities and capabilities of older adults, help to maintain and improve health and wellness and promote an interest in lifetime sports, recreation and physical activity," according to the Facebook page.

Competitions for adults 50 and older include games for varying activity levels. Events from past Games include bowling, tennis, archery and apple peeling.
