Ingrid the pit bull is using "the little blue pill" just to stay alive.

Doctors diagnosed Ingrid with a heart problem years ago, and she was prescribed Viagra to stay alive.  She takes two 50-milligarm pills a day.

Viagra was originally a heart medication before patients found the other uses for it.

Ingrid starting to run out of her medication, so the Little Shelter Animal Rescue and Adoption Center is asking the community for help in getting enough Viagra to keep her heart beating.

She was adopted by a family last year but still uses the shelter to supply her medication.

Ingrid had been used as a bait dog to incite dog fights.
