Everybody in the NFL is doing the dab — the Atlanta born dance craze. Almost every Sunday, players and coaches get caught dabbing on tape.

Last week the move was criticized by a fan and yesterday it drew a penalty when Terrance Williams of the Dallas Cowboys caught a 31-yard touchdown against the Miami Dolphins, did the dab thing and got flagged for unsportsmanlike behavior.

While dabbing is taking over the NFL, not everyone has the story straight on where it comes from and how to do it.

Cam Newton, the Carolina Panther who hails from Atlanta, has been doing it since the season started but it’s been on the streets in Atlanta for several years.
