The killing continues. This time a U.S. congressman’s 15-year-old grandson was fatally shot Friday night in Chicago.

The Associated Press reported that at least two attackers went to the home of Jovan Wilson and shot him in the head apparently over a pair of basketball shoes.

Wilson was the grandson of U.S. Rep. Danny Davis of Illinois.

Police had not arrested anyone or named a suspect in the shooting Sunday, but police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said investigators have good leads.

There have been 673 homicides so fat this year in Chicago.

Recently, Dr. LeRoy Graham, a Chicago native who lives now in Sandy Springs, told me why, despite the violence, he refuses to lose hope in his old neighborhood.
