Who best to teach you how to raise poultry in your backyard than the man who calls himself the "Chicken Whisperer?"

Andy Schneider, of Johns Creek, will hold a free seminar on how to run a success backyard chicken operation from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Cherokee Feed & Seed, 2370 Hightower Rd. in Ball Ground.

Schneider hosts the “Backyard Poultry with the Chicken Whisperer ” web radio show and is author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens”.

The interest in backyard poultry has grown as more people are attracted to the health benefits and satisfaction of raising their own eggs and meat provides.
