Churches to hold Easter sunrise service on College Park golf course

More than 300 worshippers from several south side churches will celebrate Easter sunrise services during the 5th Annual Easter Sunrise Service on the Greens.

Services will be held at 7 a.m. Sunday at  the College Park Golf Course, 3711 Fairway Dr.

Fifteen south metro area churches are participating in the service.

The Right Reverend Teresa Jefferson-Snorton, bishop of the 5th District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will be the service preacher. Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts and College Park City Councilman Derrick Taylor will also speak during the program.

Since Easter falls on a traditional communion Sunday, an ecumenical service of communion has been added to the program.

Proceeds from the annual sunrise service offering will also go towards the CP-9 Youth Gold Academy. Following the service, a free breakfast provided
