What better place than a town square for people to come together for the holidays or for a special event? This week's Best of Atlanta poll found out where you celebrate community.

Marietta Square takes first place as Atlanta's favorite town square. It's no wonder as this magical spot is the home of some of the best community events in our city. Marietta is a true tourist destination offering a wide variety of dining, play, and shopping options. They know how to turn up the festive dial when it comes to the holidays or any sort of special celebration. Be sure to check out their Winter Wonderland complete with an ice skating rink and Santa during the holidays.

In second place, the grand Duluth Town Green is a welcoming spot for any kind of outdoor adventure and social event. The splash from the water spout can be heard from most areas of the space, offering a peaceful soundtrack to your chosen activity. Bring a picnic or attend a concert to take advantage of this new town treasure.

Decatur Square and Roswell Town Square are in an enthusiastic tie for third place. Both of these town squares offer a wide variety of fantastic restaurants and community activities throughout the year. If you need to see to believe, there's no better time to visit either of these town squares than the holidays.

All of Atlanta's communities know how to bring the love. Be sure to visit Lawrenceville SquareSnellville Towne GreenHistoric Square at Stone Mountain Park and The Village Green in Smyrna on your town square grand tour.

Speaking of the holidays, don't forget to catch Christmas tree lightings all around our city over the next few weeks.

Many of our favorite town squares host a popular seasonal outdoor ice skating rink. Lace up and prepare for an evening of fun, freezing temperatures not required.
