After months of being shuttered amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville location announced its plans for reopening.

The Gainesville Garden will reopen to the public on Tuesday, June 16.

Along with the garden in Atlanta, things will look a bit different. That includes additional safety measures, limited capacity and timed tickets.

According to the botanical garden’s website, a limited number of visitors will be admitted every 15 minutes. All visitors should buy a timed ticket online. Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of inclement weather.

Safety requirements include asking all visitors to wear masks at all times. Face coverings are required in indoor spaces. Guests are also asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

All staff members will wear masks and additional sanitation stations have been set up throughout.

For now, the children’s garden at both locations remain closed.

The Gainesville garden’s summer hours will be: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday-Thursday (closed Mondays), 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
