Hugh Dinteman, an architect from Atlanta, Ga., competes on 'Jeopardy!' next Wednesday (Jan. 25).

“It was really fun,” Dinteman said. “It was a fun atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. It was not cut-throat at all.”

To see the Diteman compete, watch Jeopardy 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on WXIA-TV NBC.

Dinteman said he took an online test in 2014 and then went onto a live audition a year later. The show (or shows) were taped back in September. (He is not allowed to discuss results from the show).

Dinteman who has watched the show regularly for several years said he is an avid reader and reads mostly non-fiction books. He said his strongest subjects are science, history and no surprise here – architecture. His weakest areas, he said, are sports and pop culture. He was a big Atlanta Braves fan until they recently decided to leave Atlanta for a new stadium in Cobb County. His enthusiasm for the Braves has since waned.
