The Friends of Georgia Archives and History will hold its annual meeting 10 a.m-noon Sept. 24 at the Georgia Archives in Morrow.

Refreshments will be followed at 10:30 by the business meeting and then the program. Kaye Lanning Minchew, FOGAH president, will speak about her new book, “A President in Our Midst: Franklin Delano Roosevelt in Georgia” (University of Georgia Press, 2016), with a book signing to follow.

It's free for FOGAH members, $5 for others. RSVP by Sept. 19 to friendsofgeorgiaarchives@yahoo.com. See also fogah.org.

The group was formed in 2004 to help the Georgia Archives and its mission. FOGAH’s annual Capitol Christmas ornament is one of its fundraising activities and the 2016 ornament is now available, along with those from previous years, via the website.

FOGAH helps underwrite various speakers for the Georgia Archives as well as special internships in the conservation lab.

For directions, information on other activities and access to Georgia documents and photographs in their Virtual Vault, see georgiaarchives.org.
