Rapper, movie producer and now, hat designer.

Migos star Quavo — born Quavious Keyate Marshall — has launched the first product release in his partnership with headwear retailer Lids. The special-edition hat is an ode to the Atlanta Braves.

According to a press release, the new hat “infuses the Braves’ 1995 World Series win over the Cleveland Indians” and “has a vintage-inspired 1995 World Series patch on the front of the cap, iced out with a frost-like finish.”

Atlanta-inspired patches cover the cap, something that influenced the design. Patches were one of the rapper’s favorite fitted cap features growing up. Details of the hat include the Braves’ red and gold logo, a white embroidered “A” and a gold World Series embroidered trophy. There’s also a Quavo Huncho-inspired patch. The name is the title of Quavo’s 2018 solo debut album.

Quavo’s Lids partnership began in 2019. He spoke with Business Insider about the collaboration that December.

“I grew up shopping at Lids, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “Lids has been around for more than 20 years ... Most definitely one of the biggest with the caps, with the hats, with the lids, with everything. Right now, hats have made this run back. Back then, it was snapbacks, then it was fitteds, and then it was snapbacks again. And right now ... I think the fitted caps are making a comeback, and I just feel like it’s the right time to link with Lids.”

Starting Friday, June 4, the Lids x Quavo hat will only be available in select metro Atlanta stores and those around the state. They include Lenox Square Mall, Greenbriar Mall, Cumberland Mall, Mall of Georgia, Perimeter Mall and The Mall at West End. It will also be in limited quantities on Lids.com.
