No parent trap here — Lindsay Lohan is going to be a mom.
The actress shared the news this week with her nearly 13 million Instagram followers. “We are blessed and excited,” she captioned a photo of a onesie with “coming soon ...” on it.
“She is pregnant and excited for this next chapter,” her publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in a statement.
This is the first child for Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, whom she married last year. Shammas is a financier based in Dubai. According to Yahoo.com, Lohan moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2014, and enjoys “living a more low-profile life there.”
“It’s amazing,” the actress told “Good Morning America” in November. “I’m really lucky I found, I found my partner. He’s an amazing man, and we’re a great team.”
The “Mean Girls” alum suffered a miscarriage in 2014 when filming her OWN docuseries, “Lindsay.” She said that was why she temporarily refused to film the show about her journey from rehab to staying sober.
“No one knows this, and we can finish (filming) after this,” she said in one episode, “I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off.”
Lohan recently returned to acting, starring in the Netflix holiday movie “Falling for Christmas.” In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, she said the movie was ““the right fit for me, especially to be able to executive produce it.”
She added: “It’s always fun to work on something lighthearted and family-oriented that makes people happy and provides a bit of an escape. It comes very naturally to me to play a role, especially in a romantic comedy, so it doesn’t always feel like work.”
