Atlanta-area residents will soon have one more location of the Brass Tap to visit.

The Tampa, Florida-based craft beer bar will open a second location in Hapeville in January 2022, What Now Atlanta reported.

Shamir Rodriguez, owner of the franchise, will open the new bar and entertainment venue at 925 Virginia Avenue. He told the website he’s eager to join the local craft beer community, which he says is more interested in “elevating, growing and coming together” instead of competing.

He brings experience in construction, the hospitality industry and the bar and nightclub industry. Rodriguez said he gravitated toward the Brass Tap because it assists franchisees with structure while offering plenty of freedom for self-expression.

Rodriguez plans to make it a hang-out spot for friends and hopes to install an arcade. The approximately 3,300 square-foot venue will have around 136 seats indoors and outdoors.

He will own and operate the location with Brian Bono.

Potential guests can get a glimpse of the new location on Instagram.

“What’s more, our beer experts can answer just about any question you throw their way,” the website said. “You’ll also find daily specials, live entertainment and unique events each and every month. Whether your party is large or small, you’ll feel right at home watching the game or simply catching up on old times. Hungry? From salty to tangy to sweet, you’re sure to find a flavor to compliment your beer and appease your appetite on our food menu.”

There are more than 150 global craft beers offered at the Brass Tap, which operates nearly 50 bars in 16 states.
