Hands On Atlanta – Hands on Atlanta is providing many opportunities for volunteers on MLK Day. Participating organizations include the King Center, the Grant Park Conservancy, East Atlanta Kids Club and more. MLK Day of Service at Georgia Tech. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 20. Georgia Tech. 350 Ferst Drive, Student Center, Atlanta. Registration details can be found at https://diversity.gatech.edu/mlk-celebration-events. Georgia Tech's ninth annual MLK Day of Service is a campus-wide initiative honoring King. The Packaged Good will host a volunteer community care packaging packing event to help serve the homeless and disadvantaged families in metro Atlanta. Volunteers will assist in packing 2,000 care packages. Three shifts are available. Sign up here for the care packaging packing day.

The city of Decatur holds its 18th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Service Project from Jan. 18-20 at various private homes in the city limits. Volunteers will work for the home residents.
Panola Mountain State Park 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 20. 2620 Highway 155 SW, Stockbridge.
The park will host an MLK Day of Service, for volunteers to help spruce up the park. Projects include trail maintenance and removal of invasive plants.
