Ao dai invokes nostalgia and timelessness and is associated with the image of their homeland. The winner of the contest will take home the prize money of $800.

Contestants take turn to showcase thier silk tunic ao dai, a Vietnamese national costume, during the first round of the traditional dress contest.

Nhu Quynh Lam sells bingo tickets to raise money to benefit the Church and its ministries. Lam, a member of the church for three years says she hopes the festival will have a taste of Vietnam next year.

Volunteer Ban Am Thuc sells animal balloons to raise money to benefit the Church. Other key events include fun and games for children of all ages, nightly concerts by top Vietnamese icons, harvest moon lantern show, sample traditional food delicacies such as fall festival rolls, autumn harvest cake, 7-color sweet pudding to name a few during the three-day event that ends Sunday night with the grand prize raffle this year is a 2010 Honda Accord EX model plus a $5000 in cash.
