Things to do in Gwinnett in November

If you like comedy shows, car shows, wine festivals and public art displays, Gwinnett has the event for you in November. Check out some of these activities for a fantastic fall.


Movies Under the Stars | 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 14
Braselton Park, 115 Harrison St., Braselton
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a fun, family-friendly evening at Braselton Park. Once a month from May through November, a feature film is presented in the park. Food and snack vendors are on hand to sell refreshments. Movies begin at dusk, and they will be announced on the park's Facebook Page.

James Gregory: The Funniest Man In America | 8 p.m. Nov. 20
Sylvia Beard Theatre, 2200 Buford Highway, Buford
For more than two decades, the unforgettable caricature of veteran comedian James Gregory has stood grinning: his shirt untucked, his arms outstretched. It's a carefree welcome to a down-home, hilarious comedy experience, and it's storytelling at its best. Sit back and enjoy Gregory's rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch.

Netherworld Haunted House | 7 p.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday; 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday

Didn't have time to get in a good Halloween scare in October? There's still time for the ultimate haunted house experience in November. Netherworld Haunted House is not only one of the scariest haunted houses in Georgia and the Southeast, but it is also one of the top haunted houses in the nation.

Italian Car Day | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7

The annual Italian car show zooms into Norcross. The family-friendly event will feature cool cars, delicious food and lively entertainment, all set in the city's historic district.

Enjoy the outdoors this winter at Ice Rink @Sugar Hill. Grab your skates (skate rental available) and have fun maneuvering around on ice. Skating sessions are 90 minutes, but you can add additional time if you are not ready to leave.

Stone Mountain

Indian Festival & Pow-Wow Dance Competition | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1
Stone Mountain Park, 1000 Robert E. Lee Blvd., Stone Mountain
The event, held at Stone Mountain Park's historic Antebellum Plantation, showcases Native American culture through dance, music, demonstrations, storytelling and more. Experience the central role of dance as Native Americans from across the U.S. and Central America compete in intertribal dance and drum competitions.

SculptTour | Nov. 1-March 31
Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave., Suwanee
This cutting-edge public art display features 14 pieces, as well as eight additional permanent exhibits. The outdoor exhibit of original sculptures is centered around Suwanee's Town Green, a great spot to eat, drink and spend the day.

Suwanee Wine Fest | 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 7
Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave., Suwanee
Organizers of the Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest present the third annual Suwanee Wine Fest. Local wine experts will assist in hand-selecting more than 100 premium wines from around the world, including those from several Georgia wineries. Back by popular demand, the Georgia craft beer tent will feature unlimited samples of your favorite local brews.
