The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will put on six shows in Atlanta at the Fox Theater starting on Feb. 10. The two hour-long show will include recent works and old favorites from the modern dance company.
If you’re not choosing which night you will attend based on the works that will be performed, you might be able to receive a discount on ticket prices.
Tickets are nearly sold out on Feb. 10, but if you’re able to secure a ticket you’ll only have to pay $25 per ticket. Seats in the sections in which tickets are still available for the Feb. 10 show are priced between $30 and $55 during later shows.
Students looking to purchase tickets in advance to the Feb. 11 show will have access to $10 tickets. Tickets must be purchased at the Fox Theatre box office before 5:30 p.m. on the day of the show. Attendees can also use the code “FAMILY” to receive $10 off tickets that are regularly priced at $35 or higher during this show as a part of WSB’s “Family 2 Family” night.
On Feb. 13, attendees can buy one ticket and get one of equal value at half the price for the 2 p.m. show. A Q&A session with the dancers will follow this show.
Before dying in 1989, Alvin Ailey founded Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He is known for his contributions to modern dance and for incorporating African American culture into his choreography.
