JoeLanta collectors join G.I. Joe collectors from around the nation for a national convention in Atlanta.

G.I. Joe collector David Lane displays more than 400 figures in his Lawrenceville home. More than 2,500 collectors are expected for the national G.I. Joe Convention this weekend at the Marriott Marquis.

Decatur filmmaker Jack Walsh, who produces "This is Atlanta" on PBA 30, entered the G.I. Joe film festival at the G.I. Joe Convention with a mock sitcom starring ninja action figures.

Cobra Commander gets snazzed in this 25th anniversary release of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line.

The Doc figure, which comes in a convention box set, is the first African-American female done as a 3 3/4-inch G.I. Joe figure.

Action figures like this wet suit-wearing scuba diver can be found at the G.I. Joe Convention Sept. 27-30 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

The Arctic Adventurer is one of the exclusive figures available through the G.I. Joe Collectors' Club (www.gijoeclub.com).
