EAST POINT
Spring Fling
East Point is celebrating spring by turning its downtown district into festival central, complete with a carnival, custom car show and local art vendors. Music will be very much a part of the scene, with live performances in various genres, including Latin jazz, blues and reggae from artists such as Cadillac Jones, Mudcat and Black Lion. Party central is across the street from the East Point MARTA station, so festivalgoers are strongly encouraged to ride the train.
1-9 p.m. April 25. Free. Downtown East Point, 2757 East Point St. 404-270-7045, downtowneastpoint.com/springfling.

Reflections — 71 Years of Song

To celebrate his work, the 100 voices of the Georgia Festival Chorus, founded by Boggs in 1987, will perform numerous songs from a catalog of classical, contemporary and spiritual music. The evening will feature solos by the baritone maestro himself, performing some of his favorite pieces with guest pianist David Carnes. Guest performers will include Lisa Klausman, David Scott and Michael Cromwell. No tickets are required; doors open at 6:45 p.m.
7:30 p.m. April 26. Free. Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta. 404-234-3581, tgafc.org.
