The Super Run
You may have a few race T-shirts tucked in the back of the closet, but how many race capes do you have? The Super Run is calling on the metro area’s wannabe superheroes to come running to raise money for local nonprofit organizations, including Children’s Healthcare and Savvy Cyber Kids, an organization that teaches kids online safety. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero, and those who finish the 5k race will receive a cape, bracelet and finisher’s medal. After the race, show off your super swag in an easy 1K fun run.
8:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 12. For the 5K, $30 in advance; $35 on run day. Free for the 1k. Brook Run Park, 4770 Georgia Way South, Dunwoody. 856-777-8737, thesuperrun.com.
