GAINESVILLE
Ribbit the Exhibit
Jump on over to the Atlanta Botanical Garden in Gainesville to see what's hopping at the new Ribbit the Exhibit installation. You'll find 23 different cooper frog sculptures, each up to something different in the garden landscape. Many of the whimsical works feature frogs doing activities such as bird watching, watering plants, mowing the lawn, dancing and meditating. Each piece is the brainchild of artist Andy Cobb who spends approximately 120 hours on each sculpture, some of which are as small as 32 inches, while others are nearly six feet tall. While there, explore more imaginative creations in the Woven Whimsy wooden sculpture.
9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 12-14. $5- $8; free for Garden members. Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville, 1911 Sweetbay Drive, Gainesville. 404-888-4760, atlantabg.org/visit/gainesville.
