MARIETTA

Zombie Walk

Marietta? More like Scary-ietta. That’s because the town square is being overrun by zombies. Locals will be dressing up like extras from “The Walking Dead” and meandering along a 0.8-mile course. The “infestation” — or zombie gathering — will begin at 5 p.m., but “the feeding” starts at 6 p.m. when zombies begin trolling the streets. The event is free for both the living and the living dead, but the goal is to raise food and financial donations for MUST ministries, so contributions are strongly encouraged. Not confident in your zombie makeup skills? Artists will be on site and, for a donation, will awaken the undead in you.

5 p.m. Oct. 17. Free to walk; donations are highly encouraged. Marietta Square, 50 N. Park Square, Marietta. 404-219-1801, mariettazombiewalk.org.
