Some of most interesting and meaningful conversations take place in a dark corner of your local dive bar over a cold brew.

This week’s Best of Atlanta poll wants to know where everybody knows your name (or at least it feels that way).

The iconic Clermont Lounge wins over the hearts of Atlantans and tourists alike, claiming the coveted No. 1 spot of most beloved dive bar. Its unique and quirky atmosphere will surely keep the evening interesting.

Northside Tavern has been around the block a few times (since 1972, to be exact) providing live music seven nights a week to its patrons. This second place winner should be considered an Atlanta landmark.

Coming in third, The Highlander has been a fixture of Atlanta's late night party scene for over nineteen years. You'll get a great meal here too, so come hungry.

You should have a serious case of FOMO if you haven't paid a visit to all of our official nominees: Red & Terry's Timbers (Cobb), Euclid Avenue Yacht Club (Intown), The Righteous Room (Intown), Twain's Brewpub & Billiards (DeKalb), Chaplin's Restaurant and Bar (North Fulton), 97 Estoria (Intown) and PK Tunn Lounge Bar and Grill (Gwinnett).

Do your research and spend an evening at these five quintessential Atlanta dive bars.

Are you a part of the in-crowd? Then you might already know about these four speakeasies with secret rooms.

Hit up these DeKalb hot spots for happy hour deals and steals on your favorite drinks and bites.
