Atlanta Street Food Festival rebrands, moves to a new location
The 2015 Atlanta Street Food Festival had quite a few problems. Held in Piedmont Park, the annual festival was plagued by long lines for ticket pick up and food last year.
This year, the festival has rebranded and switched locations.
Now in its fifth year, the festival has been renamed the Atlanta Street Food and Music Festival and moved to Stone Mountain Park this year. The event will take place on June 11 from noon-8 p.m. and June 12 from 10 a.m.-6p.m.
More than 50 food trucks such as The Bento Bus, Bar-B-Q and Low Country Lobster will participate in this year's festival.
Attendees will be able to dine on food from their favorite food trucks, while drinking craft beer, cocktails, wine and "liquor lemonade," and listening to live music.
Rock band Vertical Horizon, and R&B singers Vivian Green and Bilal will headline the event. Local musicians such as Atlanta Funk Society and Wasted Potential Brass Band will also perform throughout the festival.
Admission on Saturday, June 11 is $25 and on Sunday, June 12 tickets are $20. A weekend pass is $35. The first 3,500 ticket holders will also be able to attend a VIP Festival preview on June 9 from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
A portion of proceeds for this event will be donated to The Giving Kitchen.
