Summer may officially be over, but the fun in the sun doesn't have to end just yet for your favorite furry friend.

For the seventh consecutive year, Piedmont Park's aquatic center is hosting the Splish Splash Doggie Bash and is inviting everyone to sign their dog up to join.

The pooch festivities take place Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2 with two sessions each day.

In addition to a swim, you and your dog will enjoy music, raffles, a "wag bag" of treats and toys and more.

But act fast, because the first Saturday session is already sold out. Register your dog online by 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 for $30 or, if there's space, you can register at the door for $35.

Registration for each additional guest costs $5.

According to the website, event proceeds benefit the Piedmont Dog Park and help provide Dog-I-Pot bags for pets at Piedmont Park.
