Haunted Halloween. 6:30-10:30 p.m. Oct. 21. $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers and $8 for children. Atlanta History Center, 130 W. Paces Ferry Road N.W., Atlanta. 404-814-4000, atlantahistorycenter.com/programs/haunted-halloween.

Ghoulish games, haunted houses and treacherous trails await those who attend the Atlanta History Center's Haunted Halloween Oct. 21.

Spread across its 33-acre campus, the Atlanta History Center will have a variety of frightful events planned for all ages. The events are ranked from one to five, based on a scare factor rating — one being suitable for all ages and five being only for tweens, teens and the bravest among us.

The tamest events include a carnival, a dance party and a Woodland Fairy Wand Workshop. A selection of Halloween movie classics and the Swan Hotel: A Dead and Breakfast event received twos, meaning they should be appropriate for most visitors as well.

Rated as the scariest event is a museum basement tour that they say may include evil relics, insane librarians, ghosts and zombies. A hiking tour through the cannibal Carver family’s property also is rated as a five.
