More than a dozen Atlanta high school bands partcipated in a battle of the bands at Morris Brown College's Herndon Stadium.

The shadow of North Atlanta's drum major Jamil Burton as he struts his stuff. Besides North Atlanta, the competition featured Southwest DeKalb, Mays, Martin Luther King, Redan, Lithonia, Columbia, Washington, Westlake, Creekside, Stephenson, Tri-Cities and Miller Grove.

North Atlanta High School's trio of drum majors set the pace for the competition as the band opened the competition.
