Zoo Atlanta’s giant panda twins, Ya Lun and Xi Lun have reached yet another exciting milestone!

Weeks after the pandas began to spend their days inside the playroom in the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Giant Panda Conservation Center at Zoo Atlanta, the twins are now able to play outdoors.

Ya Lun and Xi Lun began playing outdoors for brief periods of time on March 24. Zoo guests were able to see the pandas playing outdoors for the first time today (March 27).

Since the cubs are still exploring the space gradually, there is no guarantee that zoo visitors will be able to see them in their outdoor space just yet.

The pandas will be 7 months old on April 3.
