Christina isn't the only one to have flubbed the lyrics to "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Actor/singer Jamie Foxx rendition of the the National Anthem at the May 2, 2015 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao left a lot to be desired, at least according to social media. "The real fight was between Jamie Foxx and the national anthem," one Tweeter posited. KISS member Paul Stanley tweeted, "JESUS!! How about all singers agreeing if you DON'T want to sing the National Anthem as it was written YOU WON'T SING IT! What was THAT?!?.." Rocker and 'American Idol' judge Steven Tyler was criticized for his rendition of the national anthem before the AFC championship game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Jan. 22, 2012. Many complained about the screechy rendition, but fans said that's Tyler's signature style. He also botched the lyrics to the national anthem at the 2001 Indianapolis 500 (changing the lyrics from "the home of the brave" to "the home of the Indianapolis 500") and performed a screechingly bad rendition at the Boston Bruins' home opener last year. And he's now a judge on a singing competition--irony, anyone?

If you are going to flub the lyrics to the "Star Spangled Banner," the 10th anniversary of 9/11 is one of the worst times to do it. Cyndi Lauper performed at a ceremony to honor the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks at the U.S. Open tennis tournament in New York. She flubbed the second half of the line which begins, "O'er the ramparts we watched" singing "as our flag was still streaming" instead of the correct, "were so gallantly streaming."

Most people would probably think Christina Aguilera would be a no-brainer to sing the national anthem at one of America's most beloved sporting events, but maybe not. The singer, who's typically given more credit than most pop stars for having actual singing abilities, flubbed the lyrics to "The Star-Spangled Banner" pretty badly at Super Bowl XLV Sunday, Feb. 6. Packers and Steelers fans came together for one unifying moment to cringe at the performance. And then the trash talk continued.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is a two-time offender, botching the lyrics to the national anthem at the 2001 Indianapolis 500 (changing the lyrics from "the home of the brave" to "the home of the Indianapolis 500") and performing a screechingly bad rendition at the Boston Bruins' home opener last year. Good thing Olympic multi-gold medalist Carl Lewis can run so fast. He may have been chased out by the crowd at the 1993 Chicago Bulls-New Jersey Nets basketball game after the track-and-field star gave a horrifying off-key performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Lewis said to the crowd mid-sont, "I'll make up for it." How about just sticking to the running?

R&B singer and Decatur native Keri Hilson got her words twisted while singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" last year at an Atlanta Hawks game. At least Hilson had a good excuse, as she reported on her Twitter account: "LMAO bad sound can really distract U!!"

Singer Macy Gray flubbed the lyrics to the national anthem during her performance at the Pro Football Hall of Fame game back in 2001 and was booed off the field.

Pop singer and actor Jesse McCartney had his lyric flub at the Pepsi 500 race in 2009. The young star missed a verse and remained solidly off-key during his entire NASCAR performance. McCartney also went online with his excuses, tweeting, "Here at the Nascar race! So much fun! Can't believe I forgot the words to the Anthem! I've performed it 100 times. Bad nerves today I guess." Bad nerves? Bad singing.

Then there was the time comedienne Roseanne Barr suprised us all with her well-hidden voice of an angel as she sang the national anthem at a 1990 San Diego Padres game. Just kidding. She sounded like some sort of ban shee let loose in the stadium. She even topped off the song by spitting and grabbing her crotch. Keeping it classy.

To be fair, Michael Bolton did not botch the lyrics to the national anthem during his 2003 performance at a Red Sox-Yankees game. He simply took a long pause--an awkwardly long pause--during the song to check the lyrics scrawled on his palm. Points for getting the words right. Deductions for having to write them down.
