Tara Reid shocked everyone by announcing her engagement and marriage on the same day. Which other celebrities have had whirlwind romances?

TARA REID ENGAGED AND MARRIED ON SAME DAY: The 35-year-old actress announced on Twitter that she was wed over the weekend. In a post on her official Twitter page Saturday, she wrote, "Just got married in Greece I love being a wife." Earlier that day, she tweeted that she was engaged.

Britney Spears had one of the more infamous surprise nuptials. She married Jason Alexander (a childhood friend, not the actor) in Las Vegas in January 2004. But alas, it was not meant to be, and the marriage was annulled 55 hours later. Spears didn't waste any time looking for a new love. In July of the same year, it was revealed that Spears and Kevin Federline were engaged. They were married in October 2004. Results: Two kids in two years, a divorce and a subsequent Spears meltdown.

There's no telling who wore the gown at the wedding ceremony of Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra. The two got married in 1998, but Rodman filed for divorce nine days later.

Smyrna's own Julia Roberts and singer Lyle Lovett shocked the entertainment world when they got married in 1993. Their marriage lasted almost two years.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz rushed into marriage in 2008 after being engaged for only one month. They had a son, Bronx Mowgli, that same year. In 2011, they were separated.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes knew they were a perfect match for each other. They were engaged in 2005 just two months after first meeting one another. They've since married and have a daughter, Suri.

While Kim Kardashian is ready to steal the wedding spotlight in 2011, sister Khloe married Lakers player Lamar Odom in 2009, just one month after meeting him. The couple is still going strong and even have their own reality show.
