With voting machines, The Simpsons knew their stuff.

Everyone remembers the outrage at voting machines during the 2012 presidential election, when some machines selected Republican candidate Mitt Romney instead of incumbent Barack Obama.

In "The Simpsons" 2008 Halloween special, "Treehouse of Horror XIX," Homer selects Obama but the machine registers his selection as John McCain.
