Walking with Dinosaurs' at Philips Arena

Walking with Dinosaurs' show at Philips Arena presents dinosaur history.

The Brachiosaurus, 45 feet tall, and 75 feet from nose to tail, helped open the five-day run of 'Walking with Dinosaurs' at Philips Arena.

Ten dinosaur species are represented in the show from the 200-million-year reign of the dinosaurs. A Tyrannosaurus Rex nuzzles its juvenile.

Shown here are Allosaurus (left) and a pair of Brachiosauruses.

The show's host recites some of the history of the dinosaurs.

Head of puppetry, Matthew McCoy, demonstrates a 'voodoo rig' of miniature versions of the dinosaurs with the same joints and range of movement as their life-sized counterparts. The voodoo rig actions are interpreted by computer and transmitted by radio waves to make the big dinosaurs move.
