Visit a Haunted House: 5 things to do this week in Atlanta

Halloween is sure to steal the show this week, but you don't have to acknowledge the festivities to have a great week.

From attending a live show to visiting a local museum, here are five things to do this week in metro Atlanta:

Fans of “The Carol Burnett Show” will be treated to stories, video clips and a Q&A session during the entertainer’s “An Evening of Laughter and Reflection.” Relive your favorite memories from the variety show Oct. 24-25 at the Cobb Energy Centre.

Alessia Cara’s breakout hit “Here” gained her a following of young introverts who feel uncomfortable at parties. The subsequent release of her EP and debut album solidified her as a new favorite amonst young pop fans. The 20-year-old will perform at The Tabernacle on Oct. 25.

Glass installations from Seattle artist Dale Chihuly returned to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for an encore presentation at the end of April.

“Chihuly in the Garden” features 20 installations, composed of hundreds of pieces of colorful glass. Three installations were created specifically for the Atlanta exhibit.

Halloween is still a few weeks away but many local haunted attractions have already opened their doors. Enter if you dare and see what freightening creatures await at popular haunted houses such as Netherworld and House of Horror Hill.

You never need an excuse to go to the museum, but we have a pretty good one just in case!

Visit the Woodruff Arts Center and play their newest installation. A public piano named “Carly” was recently installed by Play Me Again Pianos, a Georgia nonprofit organization that permanently maintains pianos that are accessible to the public.
