He thought he’d made it obvious, but it wasn’t to many in his legion of fans.

On World Pride Day, Atlanta rapper Lil Nas X took the opportunity to announce he is a member of the LGBTQ community.

Although many on Twitter posted comments we can’t use in a news article, there were plenty of fans who stood with Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill.

The Lithonia High School graduate got in on the fun, retweeting and commenting on some of the posts.

“Old Town Road” quickly climbed the Billboard charts in April and gained national attention when Billboard removed it from the Hot Country Songs chart, declaring it not country enough.

The song has now spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and even broke the streaming record previously held by Drake. It now holds the record for the longest reign for a hip-hop hit, Billboard announced Monday. Released on Friday, his debut album "7" has reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200.

The Atlanta rapper recently partnered with Wrangler and released a clothing line inspired by the song.

"Old Town Road" even inspired a nonverbal, autistic 4-year-old to sing, according to the boy's mother.
