Three 6 Mafia rapper dead at age 40

Memphis rapper Robert Cooper Phillips has died. He was 40.

Phillips was best known as “Koopsta Knicca,” a member of Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia.

According to his management, Phillips recently suffered an aneurysm and was placed on life support at a Memphis hospital.

On Thursday, friends said Phillips was still breathing and they were holding out hope he would wake up.

But early this morning, his death was confirmed.
