High humidity and slightly lower temperatures today, invite us to a steamy outdoor concert, a romping dance party or some world class athletics.

Here are three ideas for things to do:

Bomba Estereo at the Masquerade

This Bogota, Colombia duo, with keyboards and beats from Simón Mejía and vocals from Liliana “Li” Saumet, combines techno with African instruments and traditional Colombian rhythms to produce a dance-party soundtrack that’s been described as “psychedelic cumbia.”

The party begins 7 p.m.; $25; The Masquerade, 75 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive S.W., Atlanta, in Kenny's Alley at Underground Atlanta; www.masqueradeatlanta.com.

Atlanta Dream v. Los Angeles Sparks

The Atlanta Dream, tops in the Eastern Conference of the WNBA, take on the Los Angeles Sparks at McCamish Pavilion, on the Georgia Tech campus; 7 p.m.; $22-$85; 965 Fowler St NW; dream.wnba.com/

Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam

This triumvirate of literate country legends plays an outdoor show at the State Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park; 7 p.m.; State Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park; 4469 Stella Dr. www.chastainseries.com/; 404-733-5012
