The 50 Greatest TV Icons' was compiled by cable's TV Land network and Entertainment Weekly magazine. The show will air Friday, Nov. 16.

Cable's TV Land network and Entertainment Weekly magazine have selected their Top 50 TV icons. Dick Clark of 'American Bandstand' fame came in at No. 10.

Where would Homer Simpson be without Marge? Certainly not No. 9 on the TV icon list. The icons will be the topic of a two-hour TV Land special airing at 8 p.m. Friday.

Note to Larry King: Jerry Seinfeld's show had 75 million viewers for its last episode. That makes Seinfeld No. 8 as a TV icon. King didn't make the list.

President Bush bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian award, on Carol Burnett in 2005. We bet she's pretty proud of being No. 6 of the Top 50 TV icons.

The career of former CBS-TV anchor Walter Cronkite (and icon No. 5) spanned the latter half of the 20th Century.

Bill Cosby (No. 4) and Phylicia Rashad won America's hearts as Clair and Cliff Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show.'
