The Tellus Northwest Georgia Science Museum in Cartersville has been made a Smithsonian affiliate. This affiliation means more displays and programming for the facility.

Not so long ago, the Tellus was 'that rock museum' in Cartersville. Beloved by earth science students and otherwise unknown, they hatched a plan to become a bigger, better place with more than just rocks. The Tellus now houses the largest rock and mineral collection in the state.
